In all seriousness, I think there would be exponentially less left-wing pessimism about computer technology as a whole if more people embraced FOSS tools that are decoupled from Big Tech's clutches and get-rich-quick schemes.

We'd urge caution here, very few of those stories were actually about AI. Like in the 20th century writers were really fixated on a logical/emotional dichotomy for the human mind, and computer minds were the stock example for a perfectly logical (and incomplete) mind
