If the government really is worried about Iranian sleeper cells, then it was probably a mistake to systematically reorient the majority of US counterterror resources toward arresting immigrant grandmothers and five-year-olds in bunny hats
When a federal judge (finally) put ICE officers under oath, they admitted that they are given daily detention quotas and rely heavily on a Palantir-supplied AI tool to select targets, without warrants and without enough evidence to obtain one. They simply go into neighborhoods and round people up.
It is very easy to read statements like this as a joke.
This is not a joke.
We have proven with AI, completely by accident, what knowledgeable people have been saying for decades: the environment that rich people live in gives them a very specific personality disorder.
It's just effortless to me. Reading it is like drinking good water. Some fonts have more flair, but none feel as right.
And this was how I found out you and Mike Flanagan are filming The Exorcist.
HELL. YES. So excited for this!!!
Environmental storytelling
We wouldn't be in this state if it hadn't taken 10 years for this to happen.
I get that. It's very gimmicky. I happen to like the gimmick so far.
So far, House of Leaves is like reading a good book with my eyes crossed. I'm enjoying it, but it's slow going.
(I agree, but written badly)
Coming from magic, it's a systemic issue IMO not an individual scalper issue.
Meanwhile, in Vermont…
People are getting gassed for protesting ICE. Yep, that’s still going on. America sure is great, isn’t it?

As someone who went on the Internet for the first time in the early 90’s, I fucking loved the Internet. It has given so many things in life, and afforded me so many incredible experiences.
And to see it, and technology in general where they are today is kinda soul crushing.
As I’ve been saying for six years, you cannot decide to shut off empathy in just one lil area (all of disabled and vulnerable people.) Endangering people for your convenience and comfort is a drug you do not do recreationally.
Stories are always about people, not things. When there are things it’s really about people’s reactions to them.
I just ate a meal with no background noise, and I gotta say. Those wives that kill their husbands because they make disgusting noises when they chew...I kinda get it ngl.
No, but seriously. I’m doing revisions and trapped somewhere between “I’ve nearly fixed it” and “what if I removed the entire premise of the story, indeed the titular inanimate character, completely from the book…?
We're overdrawn. Please help, we have bills hitting and need a lot of assistance right now. linktr.ee/wylder
The stress is destroying me.
This verse of "We Didn't Start the Fire" sucks ass.
I just *cannot* make autocomplete suggestions go away in Outlook or Gmail and this is exactly why I want them gone.
I'm not sure I know of a single Fantasy writer who hasn't made a genitals reference about swords in their work at some point.
What was it Marilyn Monroe said? "Everything's about sex except sex; sex is about power."
Which is a real shame. People carrying small bags need the opportunity to be gruesome and hilarious too.
(Unless of course they stop to think what it would actually mean for that to be true.)
Try it with like a shaving kit next time, bet it will get a big laugh.
On the other hand, I bet it gets funnier the smaller the bag becomes.
My lord! We've found it!
Iykyk
oh look now he's actively choosing to veto bills, not just passively signing what the legislature sends him but actively CHOOSING to OPPOSE otherwise-passed trans friendly legislation
nobody better ever tell me again newsom has anything but disdain for trans people
Let me tell you something. Y’all are asking too many damn questions at every point of sale. I have to leave a comment, make a suggestion, donate to a charity, choose a method of payment three times and then multiple choice of ways to get a receipt.
Take the damn money and leave me alone.
