In 1977 there are cars parked along the right hand side of the street, and also alongside the canal to the left. Today there is no car parking, replaced along the canal with benches and bike parking. A loading bay for a supermarket remains on the right

The only time Carapaz lost a GT because of a TT or "punch" was one of the softest GTs ever with 18 stages and in November.
