Because there are 2 ways to think about team-building. One is to try to find value relative to cost. And the other is to try to do everything you can to make your quarterback likely to succeed. Centers play a bigger role in that than casual football fans know with things like protection reads.
Sometimes chosen ones have a silent 18 years
I would like to apologize to Rico Dowdle for the Panthers run-blocking him to the 5th highest yards before contact per attempt in the 1st half of last season and earning him the bulk of his 125% annual pay raise

MItchell won't stop being fast on the Chargers. But I expect he will have fewer carries with 5-plus yards before contact, which are the most likely to become big explosive runs.
I will meet the PGA Tour halfway.
If Jordan Spieth wins this week, then I will agree The Players is a major.
I think he's a reasonable choice for the Vikings given his price and the short commitment.
I'm just surprised by how many people seem to be saying that he's a good and underrated quarterback.
But so is anyone Minnesota could have added
Kyler Murray may not have been my preferred choice for the Vikings, but I'm interested to see how KOC changes his offense to maximize for a QB that seems like a square peg for an under-center, play-action scheme.
KOC needs this to work as much as Kyler does for his reputation as a QB whisperer.
Kyler Murray's passing success rates per @ftnfantasy.com:
2019: 47.4% (21st)
2020: 51.1% (21st)
2021: 52.8% (10th)
2022: 48.1% (23rd)
2023: 43.3% (33rd)
2024: 52.7% (8th)
2025: 47.8% (22nd)
I think the 2024-25 window paints an optimistic picture.
(Rankings are among QBs with 150+ attempts)
Doesn't Facebook assume everyone that still uses it is old?
You and everyone else
Keaton Mitchell who was also non-tendered:
Don't sleep on John Harbaugh signing his former Ravens too
Rachaad White had the 7th lowest avoided tackle rate in 2025.
He'll help the Commanders as a blocker and receiver on 3rd downs. But he looks like a complement to rather than a replacement for the more elusive Bill Croskey-Merritt.

Yards per attempt differences between the Ravens and Chargers for the running backs that left Lamar Jackson for Los Angeles:
J.K. Dobbins: 5.8 to 4.6
Gus Edwards: 4.9 to 3.6
Keaton Mitchell: 6.3 to ?
Bhayshul Tuten rosterers watching Chris Rodriguez replace him on the goal line:
Mike Evans counting 49ers pieces before the injury gods have ruled on them:
Or maybe he had some quiet injury?
Ken Pom:
Taysom Hill is available
Free agency week:
The Broncos don't need to overspend in free agency because they're already good
I believe at FTN, avoided tackles = broken tackles + jukes + maybe some other types.
But you don't have to be contacted to earn an avoided tackle.
He's really good. He's just always hurt unfortunately.
Bill Croskey-Merritt was top 5 in avoided tackle rate in 2025.
The Commanders went away from him in the 2nd half of last season, but maybe there's something there?

Any time a 7th grader misbehaves, explain to them how they would have handled that in the Old Big East
I wouldn't assume Mike McDaniel is all about speed in LA because he was all about speed in Miami.
That made sense for Tua because he was a quick decision-maker and anticipatory thrower. Justin Herbert has different strengths and weaknesses.
Keaton Mitchell may just be a role player.
He's living the dream
