FWIW, ESPN Radio broadcasts the entire MLB Postseason nationally and streams live game audio on their website. It's how I followed the postseason in university in Canada and baseball is still the best sport to listen to on the radio.

Ben will be listening to ESPN Radio's coverage of the MLB Division Series, of course. Heck, he could even be working one of those series!

Kinda surprised the ALDS has start times for their game 2s already. I would have thought they'd wait to see the ALWC results first in case FOX wanted to nudge the end of a possible Yankees-Blue Jays game into prime time.

I'm hoping for the Yankees Wednesday. Sure, it's because I want the series to go 3 so the winning team's arms get less rest before going to Toronto, but 🤷‍♀️.

Actually, I'm hoping for rain more than anything. Especially since rain in New York would eventually mean rain for my drought-struck province.

Not to mention that sometimes the tie IS the narrative catharsis.

They should return the overtime periods to 15 minutes first. Gives teams more time to score and less chance of running out the clock.

This is the kind of thing I try to figure out instead of going to bed at a decent hour.

I had an orthodontist appointment the morning of 9-11. 13-year old me got my braces off for the last time. I got back to class just before the planes hit.

The orthodontist's son took over the practice, ran it into the ground, and got struck off for bad debts and violations related to being an ass.

Jagmeet Singh is gone. He is an incredibly good and decent person, a great Parliamentarian, and a terrible campaigner. And that last item is why he leaves the NDP in the worst shape in its history, and that is sad.

May he and his family prosper outside politics.

The federal NDP membership will yet rue the day they fired Thomas Mulcair. Only Jack Layton and Ed Broadbent led the party to greater electoral success, and Singh sadly seems set to win the seats (8 at 1pm ADT) and lowest vote share in party history. Even Audrey McLaughlin got 9 seats/6.9% in 1993.

One note looking at the vote percentages in Atlantic Canada before polls close elsewhere - the swings between the Liberals and Conservatives are marginal, slightly in the Liberal favour. The big Eastern gains for the Tories are on Newfoundland.

The Liberal-CPC difference in Nova Scotia in 2021 was 12.9%. It is now 9.0%.
In New Brunswick, Liberals had an 8.8% edge over the Tories in '21. Now it's 10.8%.
PEI, Libs were 14.6% more votes than CPC. Current margin: 20.3%.

Looking at the current numbers in Newfoundland & Labrador, it looks like the margin between Liberals and Conservatives has narrowed by nearly 10%.
