Truth Social sent an email on April 17, 2025, alerting the SEC to potential illegal short selling and market manipulation of DJT stock (Trump Media & Technology Group Corp.). They sent a memo to Acting Chairman Mark Uyeda detailing suspicious activity related to a disclosure filed in Germany by the UK-based hedge fund Qube Research & Technologies. Qube disclosed a short position of nearly six million shares in DJT on April 10, 2025, but only in Germany. Truth Social notes that the total short interest in DJT has remained relatively unchanged according to Nasdaq and third-party sources. They question the timing and methods of Qube's trading activities, as well as the lack of confirmation from Nasdaq or NYSE Texas regarding when the trades were conducted. Truth Social urges the SEC to investigate this suspicious trading immediately, citing the history of suspicious trading surrounding DJT stock and its previous appearance on Nasdaq's Regulation SHO Threshold Security List. They want the SEC to report their findings back to TMTG and relevant authorities, emphasizing the need for transparency in American equities exchanges.
