Where I had an age swap #BingJiu scenario pop into my head with such a premise.
During my 2ha re-read I passed the auction scene and SQT's debut, and had to again think of BBBF!SJ
So a #BingJiu AU where LBH goes back in time. But he actually goes back quite far, way before his birth parents even met.
A #BingJiu / #MeiJiu AU with the same premise as the one from the quote, where LBH can see the red string of fate and thus knows that SJ is his soulmate.
But one day the string vanishes, despite "SQQ" still walking around. Making LBH realise that SJ died and got replaced without anyone noticing.
