It's increasingly hard for me to find books where my self-editor brain doesn't stay active even while reading other people's prose. So it's worth mentioning books I find that allow me to escape that, and Metal From Heaven by August Clarke is one such. Also probably the horniest thing I've ever read.

Most of Eriador is just empty space. Elves in the forests, dwarves in them there hills, hobbits over in the far west, humans clustered in relatively small patches of grassland down south, plus one town at Dale. It feels almost post-apocalyptically abandoned otherwise.

I’m probably not talking about the US then.

Fellow gamers who use magnets to transport stuff securely! What size would you use to secure GW flying bases? (this is for my Drukhari so I have small bases for Hellions/Reavers, as well as large ones for Raiders, Venoms etc)

Yes, hence "at present", since we're not currently in a state of emergency that would require the deployment of 16 year olds to a combat zone.

My understanding was you could join the army at 16, but you wouldn't see active service until 18 (at least at present)? Could be wrong though.
