What a world
This is the best lede I've seen in a tech story in...years? There should be an award just for ledes.
I have watched 6 hours of a DOGE bro deposition. The whole thing, start to finish. It's a fascinating, and horrifying, look at the people who caused so much damage, didn't really achieve anything at all, while still being so sure they are right. Here's what they said: www.404media.co/i-watched-6-...
A submersible perhaps
face-eating leopard print sundress
I can actually have my kid make this tonight
This is Nathan Cavanaugh, another DOGE staffer explaining how he flagged grants at NEH for "DEI" which would be reviewed for termination. 404 Media has reviewed hours of this footage and we'll have more soon.

Indeed it is. I'm so sorry. I am two years out from surgery on my EGFR+ lung cancer. One more year to go (so far) on Tagrisso.
Too many cancers have a large stigma around them and it keeps people from getting care. It also creates a false idea that we can somehow insulate ourselves from death and disease through individual choices and that is bullshit. Thanks for your time.
If you get in my mentions with "do this and you won't get cancer," I will correct you. Carcinogenesis is multifactorial. Many different things can lead to cancer and it is not a straight line. People with cancer do not need your narrow assumptions about what did or did not cause their disease.
Hi! so, actually, cancer tends to be pretty multifactorial. processed foods certainly play a likely role. The research is ongoing. But we have to be really careful when we talk about causes of cancer because that can be a short road to victim-blaming!
Never Slack what you don't want read aloud in court.
lol carl
Do not delay going to an NCI designated center of excellence because of money. They will work with you.
It is worth it because they know more than many local/regional docs and hospitals AND they have exposure to cutting edge research AND they usually have the kind of financial infrastructure in place to help figure out the insurance and payment part.
If you get diagnosed with cancer. Or something someone thinks is cancer, get thyself to a NCI designated center of excellence. You can find them here. www.cancer.gov/research/inf...
amazing piece today. I had to take breaks for ... reasons.
ask me how I know!
Cancer in people under 50 is a massive, massive problem. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
subscribed. and I have called the DOT SO many times about this intersection lol.
that one is (almost) opposite my building and I think it's an air rights issue. St. John's is the historic district line.
outstanding reporting
I met with AI data labelers in Kenya who are organizing their colleagues to fight the brutal working conditions and horrible pay given to the workers at the "bottom of the AI supply chain." They believe the NDAs they've signed are unenforceable so are speaking out:

Man you’re going to drive me into local politics
Yeah but literally surrounded by empty storefronts. It’s so grim! Also how did the Christian scientists hang on to TWO separate properties?
A) this is great
B) how do I also get the Atlantic to give me ten grand?
Someone who really wants to talk about economics with you for the whole flight
