The money can either go to public works in their district, or towards the national debt. They get to pick.

I've been reading a lot about politicians throwing fits over a law passing where they couldn't play the stock market.

My solution to this is that any politician holding office at a federal level should have to donate 1/3 of any money made while an elected official, beyond their base salary.

I have spent way too much time staring upward at the glowing misery rectangle because of it.
