I used to have a larger account on the Other Site and it stressed me out a lot when it attracted certain audiences tbh, so I think i kinda like having a smaller account
Granted, that site had a lot of bad apples in it so maybe having a bigger account here wouldn't be nearly as bad.

Oh i forgot to mention that tokimeki memorial technically has an English tl on the super famicom version but it could do with a retranslation tbh. Its got problems and also the sfc ver is the worst ver of the game so that's really only the "if that's the only option you have" choice.

And tbh a lot more but that's what I can remember off the top of my head. I have a whole notepad list of a bunch (and the list is always growing) so i could check that later if/when I get on my pc

The two ways I mitigate this are to choose a game that's at least mostly voice acted, and I also have things that let me search up kanji by writing them myself

My vocab has been fairly limited too, so I do have to look up a lot of words sometimes so it depends on if that sort of thing would get annoying fast or not, but its been working decently for me!
Downside is that I don't think any dating sims have furigana, so looking up kanji can be hard

I'm not sure how comfortable you are with playing games in japanese yet, but most of the good dating sims are all japanese only
The good news is that as long as you don't mind referring to a dictionary quite a bit (especially at the start of a game) it can be a great way to learn conversational JPN.
