“Bebop” as a genre has its origins in the scat vocalization credited to a big-band jazz group called “McKinney’s Cotton Pickers.” I tracked down a rare book, published in 1978, that reviews the Hx and membership.

I have a friend with an heirloom 1950s hollow-body guitar on the island, and he is wondering about how to get it to the mainland… Anybody have any deft advice on shipping or transporting it so that it is not damaged? Any advice is appreciated. 🙏
