VOLUNTARY RECOGNITION [noun] When an employer agrees to recognize a union after a majority of workers show support without requiring a formal election overseen by the NLRB. Once recognition is granted, the employer agrees to begin bargaining in good faith with the union over wages, hours, and working conditions. “In March, COURIER and the WGAE reached an agreement for the voluntary recognition of COURIER’s 50-member staff union including reporters, editors, designers, and social media managers.”

Jimmy Kimmel Fully Back on the Air: Nexstar Joins Sinclair in Returning Late-Night Show to ABC Stations After Temporary Blackout Jimmy Kimmel is coming back nationwide on ABC stations across the U.S., after station group owner Nexstar joined Sinclair in announcing it was ending its boycott.

“Disney was targeted with protests and consumer threats to boycott its services (i.e., by canceling Disney+) as well as criticism from Hollywood guilds and others for the perception it wasn’t standing up for First Amendment rights.”
