Depends on what side he’s sleeping on, which often depends on which shoulder suffered the most damage during the day’s travails. Switching mid-sleep also happens.

I would look at the early level ARR pants. Many of those were styled plainly, in a simpler, medieval fashion meant for poor or working class of that kind of time period. Adventurers yet to make names for themselves. Note, they haven’t received the graphics upgrade yet.
