Science Under Threat in the United States: Feeling abandoned but energized Many individual researchers are frustrated by the response - or the lack of a response - from universities to a growing crisis.

My OpEd in @elife.bsky.social

β€œIt feels as if we are trying to fight a series of attacks on science with one arm tied behind our back and our lips half sewn shut.”

β€œYet we are not beaten, and some of us are downright energized.”

The real reason the Colonial West wants Gaza. Ethnically cleanse the native population, and rob the land of its natural resources.
It's a capitalist venture for the ultra rich.
Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, not white supremacists.

Peace depends on holding those responsible for these crimes accountable β€” both inside and outside of Israel.

There can be no justice without accountability, and there can be no peace without justice β€” that’s just silencing the oppressed.

We must not stop until Palestine is free

As the ICC finally issues arrest warrants for Israel’s leaders, here’s a promise.

To those who helped facilitate Israel’s genocide - Western politicians, media outlets, and journalists:

We will not rest until you are held accountable for the crime you helped commit.

The genocide was greenlit by USA. It was orchestrated under Biden/Harris and would have continued to be orchestrated by the US under Harris. Again, Trump is an awful result of the horrendous state of affairs in America. He will continue the genocide. The genocide didn't affect the US election result

Are you suggesting Palestinians deserve more genocide because of American voters?
Perhaps trying to fix the significant issues in America would be a far better and realistic approach to ensuring more Trumps don't ever get into power. Rather than blaming Palestinians or those against genocide.

I will never criticise anyone who refuses to vote for the people responsible for exterminating their entire family or country. Which again, didn't ultimately affect the result of the election anyway.

In terms of Trump unleashing Netanyahu unabated - that's already happened under the Democrats. Almost 200,000 Palestinians have been killed, 44% children according to recent UN figures, and 90% of Gaza is in ruins UNDER the Democrats.

He won because the US has been slipping further and further into fascism for years, and the election result is just a reflection of that. The Democratic party aren't that much better either, which is another massive issue.
