Things are really heating up for the Global Soil Biodiversity Conference 2026 in Victoria, Canada. The Program-at-a-Glance is now available website (globalsoilbiodiversity2026.org/program/), as well as information about your travel and visas.

My research focuses on #soilhealth and we are just starting a new project on #regenerativeagriculture with on farm trials. Would be great to be on the list in order to find people with the same interests.

Exactly. Most studies showing that fungi are more resistant to drought come from less disturbed systems such as grasslands. Cropping systems are often more disturbed (e.g. by tillage), which could disrupt the fungal network and exacerbate the response. In fact, we mention this in section 4.4.

All systems in the DOK trial are plowed to 20 cm and include a seven-year crop rotation with legumes. Therefore, even the conventional systems include some regenerative practices and comparison with more divergent systems (e.g. no-till, monocultures, etc.) could lead to different results.
