In my D&D worlds, no one “comes out” because no one has to. Gender identity and sexuality are as natural and accepted as eye color. Everyone is valid, and love and selfhood are just... part of the world. As they should be. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈⚔️

Then I found Irreverent Warriors on FB, and saw that yes, there are veterans who do not fit into that mold, so I didn't hide my status as much as I once did.

These days, I'm just out and I'm loud about my unwavering support for our marginalized community.

We are out here, I promise.

I mostly hid my veteran status for the longest time... I mean other than being "in the wrong service" during "the wrong war" so my service "didn't fucking matter", all the other veterans I met and knew had Duck Dynasty beards and worshiped fascism.
