Trying to 'out-reform' Reform, is a race to the bottom where no-one wins.
There was a time when political parties stood for an ideology and dug in.
Now it appears that the only horse in the race is populism and if it is, then no-one has learned the lessons from 1930s Germany.

I believe that it's because of the drip drip drip dulling what would once have been outrage.
Instead it's now a gentle distraction from the chaos and the continuous eroding of societal norms/laws

This leads to a spiral of descent into the chasing of more and more extreme content to satisfy.
