They donβt make noise, donβt cause cancer & yes, you can save the energy in a battery & use it when the wind isnβt blowing!

12.07.2025 22:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's my birthday! I'm officially 41.
And I'm a proud immigrant.
For my birthday this year, all I'm asking for is people to help my community. Please donate to your local immigrant organizations, and/or the Immigrant Defense Project.

So the next time you buy something at the grocery store that makes you sick, this is why. This is who to blame, Trump administration 100%. They donβt care about anything but money.

01.06.2025 13:22 β π 1389 π 251 π¬ 19 π 13Capitalism & ableism created a society where we blame disabled people for being sick.
Where we judge people based on their economic contributions, treating them like cogs in a machine.
Where we refuse to provide the most basic supports to the most vulnerable, instead insisting they 'try harder':

If you value your health, wear a mask.
If you want to practice community care, wear a mask.
If you want to show solidarity with disabled and marginalized people, wear a mask.
If you want to fight fascism, wear a mask.
We need people as healthy as possible so they can resist. Mask up.
When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind.

We arenβt βless thanβ
We arenβt βgetting a free rideβ
Being chronically ill is not like being on vacation
Receiving benefits or any type of support is not easy
The system is designed to dehumanize, discourage & punish
We need support, understanding & allies
A tree is known by it's fruit; a person by their deeds. A good deed is never lost; they who sow courtesy reap friendship, and they who plant kindness gather love.
-Saint Basil (adapted)
Disabled people have been pleading with folks to show solidarity for years.
We saw the rising tide of eugenics the moment everyone declared Covid over & decided to leave us by the wayside.
Pandemics give rise to fascism. What weβre seeing is the result of allowing disabled folks to be left behind
When you become disabled or chronically ill, people abandon you.
Most people have an internal clock. If youβre not βbetterβ by the time their patience runs out, they disappear.
If we canβt trust our loved ones to stick around, what hope do we have with elected officials or the general public?
ITS HIS JOB TO KNOW!
20.05.2025 23:49 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Disabled people are not expendable.
Disabled people are not lazy.
Disabled people are not βchoosingβ to be sick.
Disabled people deserve healthcare, social supports & accommodation.
These are not controversial concepts. Ableism & health supremacy tell you otherwise.
Fight with us. Fight for us.
If we could admit the following, it would save many lives:
COVID is airborne
COVID is not over
COVID is a social justice issue & everyone deserves access to vaccines, respirators and clean air
COVID can impact everyone, not βonly the vulnerableβ
Lastly, the βvulnerableβ deserve protection too
