I'd rather they write about WHY it's so much harder to find a job and how to do something about it.

The only problem I see is that the IQ of the average deer exceeds the IQ of the average PA hunter.

NB: I have personally witnessed a group of hunters encircle a thicket and then begin firing into the thicket.

The most she says is that she earned her appointment (which she did), and that the Constitution makes that appointment for life (unless we rewrite the Constitution).

It could. It would go against a long pattern of making changes in terms explicitly not retroactive. And really isn't central to the question of where exactly in her words Sotomayer claims a property interest in her office?

b) if they do amend the Constitution to implement term limits it can't retroactively change the terms Justices were appointed to (which stems quite reasonably from the prohibition on ex post facto laws).

I don't see in the text where she's making an argument for a property interest. She's arguing that a) the Constitution says that Supreme Court Justices like her are appointed for life and no law can override the Constitution, and...

The best targets for doing this are the people at the top, the senior generals and politicians giving the orders.

Not to mention that the same shrouds that keep light aimed down, with a reflective interior surface, increase the amount of light you get on the ground where it's needed. That means less power for the same light level, saving the city money in the process.

And call Riot and note that you've heard of the pressure from MC and if you see Riot giving in to it you'll be reconsidering playing Riot games because of the risks of having content or games removed due to pressure from MC.

Cornyn says FBI will help locate absent Texas Democrats, but scope of feds’ role unclear The Republican senator, who is facing a tough primary challenge, previously asked FBI Director Kash Patel for the agency’s help in tracking down the House lawmakers.

The governor of Texas needs the FBI's help to locate the Democrat lawmakers? Dude, just read the papers. Augh.

If they claim "the government", ask them to give you details so you can complain to _them_. What agency? What department? What's the title, chapter and section of the United States Code being claimed? Don't let them end the call until they can give you that.

I'm seeing less posts about the Visa and Mastercard situation and I want to make it plain as day. You need to keep calling and bothering them, and losing them money.

Because if we lose this, they are going to cut more and more from what's available until you can only buy what they approve of.

Talk with @liag1.bsky.social about resolution? She's had to work it out. My take is limited to "Canvas is an integer multiple of the final size." Also depends on whether you want the final size in pixels or in/cm.

The Vulcans' main problem with humans is that if you hand them a problem you need solved, it _will_ get solved. Probably not in the way you wanted it solved, more likely in a way that makes you reach for the next bottle of Advil, but thoroughly and comprehensively solved.

Companies are complaining loudly about applicants stealing the companies' tactics of making an offer and then when the employee shows up the first day to finish the paperwork telling them the offer's been rescinded.

Visa/MC are still the correct targets here, they're the ones pressuring the IMA. They may try to deflect blame, but we don't have to let them succeed.

Also, if the IMA threatens to "blacklist" a business, making them unable to get an account at _any_ IMA, that's likely illegal collusion.

The telco was pissed they couldn't touch him for it, because we _had_ had Blue Stake out to mark where the lines all were and the trench we were digging was a good 10' inside the property from where the phone line stakes were.

Don't worry, there _will_ be a backhoe involved at some point. I've had to watch this kind of thing too often to believe otherwise. Last time it happened the operator ripped a 10-foot section out of the main telephone cable serving the development.

Sounds like you're going to need the backhoe and a lot of careful digging to find the pipe and backtrack it from where the water came through to where the leak is. Check with the county to see if there's a map showing the utility lines? The local blue stake center might have info too.

Stripe is lying through their teeth to divert the pressure they're feeling. The banks don't care what you spend your money on as long as it isn't outright obviously illegal, and they don't want to risk having customers leave for other banks.

I currently have a case that started out as a pretty routine unpaid wage case, but in discovery I got a copy of the company's contract with its HR outsourcing vendor, who used AI to draft an agreement that attaches ~personal liability~ to the vendor's shareholders for wage underpayments by clients.
