“Published” here means he left a comment in the ‘have your say’ box at the bottom of the article, which while moderated for decorum, is not reviewed for scientific merit…which is just as well.

Imagine being so mortified by your behavior at public school (where you racially abused your fellows and called for the gassing of your Jewish colleagues) that to prove there is not a racist bone in your body you spend 30yrs leading a series of far right parties and stir up hatred of immigrants.

Notwithstanding the racist language, I do seem to remember that the bigotry of Alf Garnett was ultimately the butt of the joke and him being shown up as a bigot was the point.

Farage repeatedly shouts ‘Bernard Manning’ at journalists amid racism allegations Reform UK leader hit out at the BBC and ITV for what he said were ‘double standards’ but was criticised by the comedian’s family

Farage went full Trump today. The thing is, that fake news shit works in America but much less so here. He just sounded like a deranged drunk in the pub.

And while most of stuff was dodgy in the 70’s and 80’s, I’m not sure ‘gas the Jews’ was ever ok.

Jesse Bloom ca 2020-2023, apparently.

This whole thing is based on trying to rubbish phylogenetic evidence and epidemiology that robustly puts the emergence of SARS2 in Wuhan in late Nov/Early Dec at the Huanan Market.

If leakers really thought this was wrong, why do they feel the need to invent a sequencing date?

04.12.2025 07:23 — 👍 9    🔁 1    💬 1    📌 0

It's just crazy how this entire viral story was because someone made up a sequencing date that wasn't true.

And the thing is, they may have almost got away with it!

When something is a (partially) unsolved mystery for years, you risk losing the chance to ever solve it....

04.12.2025 03:05 — 👍 40    🔁 16    💬 2    📌 1

We had all of the scientific arguments why this data didn't seem to fit right, and wasn't important for origins, but we never really considered the simpler solution that a well regarded white male scientist or two were just making something up!

04.12.2025 03:08 — 👍 11    🔁 1    💬 1    📌 0

Puzzled by the discrepancy, I emailed István Csabai, who had discovered the contaminating sequences. He told me that the January 2020 date was actually not something the Chinese scientists had told him, but something inferred from other information... ▫️6/9

Flo once again dismantling more bullshit from lab leak central.

In this case an invented sequencing date of contaminated samples by ‘sleuths’ that Jesse Bloom bought into presumably because it allowed him to disengage his scientific faculties and run to full fat conspiracy theory.

It is strange that little Tommy Twelvenames wants to believe that Lineker might be up to dodginess, when a good number of his entourage have convictions either for domestic violence or molesting underage girls.

I also like how Hammond cut off the bit where The Hack accuses him of being Bad Kopp’s source at NIH…which was apparently why he and Bryce Nickels got fired in the first place.

…but they made that career annihilating decision themselves…😂

Yes. Very good. I went down to the floor for the support acts, but I went back upstairs for them to get a better view. There must have been a truckload of Dutch down, everyone was 6ft+ down there.

Plus I’m a bit too old for circular moshing and crowd surfing.

And then the EV mileage charge is even stupider wrt to emissions policy.

EV users pay tax on electricity. They don’t pay fuel duty but then they cause much less pollution. Charge road tax if you want, but applying a surcharge to make up for the lack of tax on petrol disincentivizes switching

Budget has some of the dumbest measures.

Instead of having the guts to bite the bullet of putting up the highest rate of tax, they maintain the freeze on the boundaries which hits the lower earners most.

This malicious disinformation about London and other cities is disgusting and pernicious. And egged on by the Mail/Telegraph.

I work in London. I commute every day in and out everyday. Most of my colleagues live in it. No one recognizes this crime ridden Islamic state that we are fed by the media

Why Tommy Robinson supporters are turning to Christianity The Church of England is grappling with what to do about followers of the far-right figure embracing faith.

The number of identifying (not necessarily practicing) Muslims stands at 6.5% of the population. ~8x fewer than those identifying as Christian

If I were Lisa Nandy I would block this on the grounds generating a monopoly on extreme right wing media and misinformation. And I would block any foreign buyer.

And if the Telegraph goes to the wall and everyone is fired, so be it.

Amazing how far down the Mail/Express/Telegraph sites you have to go to find reference to jailing of welsh Reform leader Nathan Gill for shilling for Putin and Russian aggression in Ukraine whilst a MEP.

Given their Putin-apologist stance, are we to believe no others in Reform are banking Roubles?
