People don't want data centers polluting their cities.
They don't want masked thugs terrorizing their neighbors.
They don't want warehouses being turned into ICE prisons.
They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home.
They want their basic needs met.

On the eve of the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war, we raise the Ukrainian flag at our headquarters.
So it can fly proudly at the heart of our Union, where it belongs.
One day Ukraine will be safe.
Ukraine will be free.
Ukraine will be part of our European family.

The political effects of X’s feed algorithm - Nature
Among users initially on a chronological feed, 7 weeks of exposure to X’s algorithmic feed in 2023 shifted political attitudes and account-following behaviour in a more conservative direction compared...
X's algorithm isn't neutral (as we all suspected) - it's pushing users toward the conservative side.
The study also found that the algorithm promotes conservative content and DEMOTES posts by traditional media.

With #measles outbreaks raging in the the US, I've been puzzled by the drop in hospitalizations reported in 2026 by #CDC. Here's why: @propublica.org reports that SC, which has racked up 100s of cases in 2026, doesn't require hospitals to report measles admissions. www.propublica.org/article/sout...

I’m just going to put this out there: tons of our monoclonal antibodies (esp antiviral ones) are derived from antibodies that came from the sera of patients and there is nothing unethical about that provided that informed consent was followed for the procurement and use of patient serum.

Tyrese Haliburton diagnosed with shingles, away from Pacers
Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton was diagnosed with shingles and will be away from the team for a few weeks, coach Rick Carlisle said Sunday.
Although more common >50, varicella zoster can reactivate at any age. Shingles is painful and recovery can take several weeks and yes it can sideline an elite athlete like Haliburton for 2-3 weeks. I wish him a speedy recovery.
If you are >50 get your Shingles vaccine.

A screenshot of a FB memories post from 6 years ago today, 23 Feb 2020. Emma Hodcroft posts: "So yea. This is it. This is the post.
SARS-CoV-2 is extremely likely to become (if not already) pandemic.
What's most important right now is getting a handle on how quickly it is spreading and where.
This means increasing testing and trying to slow the spread to buy time."
Every year I get to 're-live' the pandemic thanks to FB memories. Re-examining my posts with increasing time is always interesting.
This one though - this one never fails to send a shiver down my spine. When do make a post like this? When are you sure enough? What if you regret it?
