I would be prepared to vote Labour through tactical voting to keep reform out, knowing that other constituencies will get green and Lib Dem seats, allowing for broader coalition including the left.

The left need to be really tactical and target community movements leading up to 2029 and push PR

This is true, I do fear full throttle fascism though. Tactical voting is most likely to bring in some form of representation for these parties in the UK in parliament under fptp, perhaps resulting in a labour prime minister but under a coalition with the left. Hopefully we get PR soon.

American politics is the worst in the western world. All they do is constantly sell the โ€œlesser evilโ€ candidacy every election ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Yeah Iโ€™m not sure what I did to be honest

It does seem to be very rigorous purity testing. โ€œIf you are willing to work with people who arenโ€™t on the hard left that makes you right wingโ€. It will possibly be the reason the greens will never be in power in this country, unless they form a coalition withโ€ฆ oh yeahโ€ฆ the Labour Party

She is part of tribune, which is not blue labour, labour together, nor is she part of a Blairite faction. So that is incorrect:

It seems you donโ€™t really know much of the Labour Party makeup

15.02.2026 21:24 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Again, you seem very unwilling to work with other people as a coalition of thought.

Rayner would walk a leadership challenge.

Of course not.

15.02.2026 21:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Because I believe in Labour getting a leader who aligns with my values again and will implement PR

15.02.2026 18:15 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

All parties are coalitions of sorts though. YP has social conservatives that hate trans people and gay marriage, and have received money from the Iranian regime.

Nobody is โ€œcomplicitโ€ in somebody elseโ€™s actions simply by being a member of a political party. That is such reductionist thinking.

15.02.2026 18:14 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I guess the argument from the Labour left would be โ€˜why should I leave my party when I could fight to get it back?โ€™

15.02.2026 17:58 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

A majority of the union must still believe in the broader labour movement

15.02.2026 17:53 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And yet the unions are still heavily tied to the Labour Party.

15.02.2026 17:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So I didnโ€™t misunderstand at all thenโ€ฆ
Labour members have been vocal against the leadership for some time. It isnโ€™t โ€œsuspiciousโ€ to think the Labour Party can change. It went back to its roots as a socialist party less than a decade ago, and yet you think people fighting for it again is weird

15.02.2026 17:25 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Why is it suspicious to want to be involved in the โ€œorganised labour movementโ€ which will inevitably involve the Labour Party?

Reform have totally let the cat out of the bag about who they are.

Zia Yusuf lecturing that poverty and peoples everyday struggles with rising bills and rent is exaggerated.

A party of the failed status quo, funded and representing big corporate interests.

Jim Radcliffe is an economic migrant in Monaco.

Jim Radcliffe offshores his money to avoid paying tax in the UK.

Jim Radcliffe wants to ensure that the british working class blame refugees and migrants for the problems in Britain.

Jim Radcliffe is the problem, not desperate asylum seekers.

First time we have seen Starmer blatantly โ€œplaying the game of politicsโ€ at PMQโ€™s.

Many people saying he โ€œcame out fightingโ€, and many saying both him and Badenoch looked childish, which is exactly what he wouldโ€™ve wanted.

Heโ€™s painted himself as up for it, and dragged the Tories into politicking
