๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Voting for Labour's next Deputy Leader is open until 23rd October.

After winning 82.2% of the vote in a ballot of our members, Mainstream recommends a vote for @lucympowell.bsky.social well.

Labour members should receive a link to vote by the end of today.

Trump and Netanyahuโ€™s speeches are incredibly disturbing. Their talk of โ€œmight is rightโ€ and laughing about how strong and destructive their weapons are while Palestinians are currently searching through the rubble for their loved ones gives quite an imperial/colonial vibe.

Disgusting.

If there was ever somebody I hated in politics it would be Nadine Dorries. Sheโ€™s a bigger opportunist than Nigel Farage. No political talent just rides on the back of other fringe figures.

Nik from Revolut moved to Dubai. This will save him about $8bn in taxes if Revolut IPOs.

Iโ€™d like to see him in the stocks in Trafalgar Square explaining why he is taking 80 hospitals or 400 schools away from the UK.

The man is an absolute traitor to the UK and should be a pariah.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe spent part of the ยฃ4bn tax bill he dodged to fund Manchester United.

That is how the UK works you pay tax, the big people don't and they get richer and richer and RICHER.

If you aren't buying a house to use it yourself.

You shouldn't be able to buy it.

Just like you shouldn't be able to buy Water or Energy companies or make a profit from Healthcare.

Scrapping stamp duty will cost ยฃ11.6bn a year. But it won't house a single one of Britain's 240,000 homeless.

No. Theyโ€™re not fundamental changes to anything. Even their so called โ€œgb energyโ€ is not as socialist as first intended.

Labour have got the NHS back up and running.

Other than that their โ€œachievementsโ€ are tatting around the edges of fundamental problems in our society.

Absolutely shocking news emerging that a mosque has been burned down by masked thugs in East Sussex.

Never has the paradox of intolerance been more relevant to public discourse. We must stamp out extremism wherever we find it โฌ‡๏ธ

Zack Polanskiโ€™s response to the Manchester terror attack has been a masterclass in mature statesmanship.

Soulful, human, eloquent, empathetic, nuanced, confident and focused on healing.

And bold. It has shone in contrast to so much weaponising or ill thought through commentary.

Thank you Zack. ๐Ÿ’ช

Todayโ€™s vigil MUST not be the end of the remembrance of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz.

Their identities, confirmed today, have been lost in amongst commentatorsโ€™ desperation to use this heinous antisemetic attack to sew division.

Their names must be repeated and remembered.

You turn to LBC in the morning and heโ€™s blaming Starmer, you turn on Jeremy Vine and theyโ€™re blaming Starmer, a man with a Jewish wife and kids.

And yet, Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitzโ€™ names have barely been mentioned all day.

I'm sorry to tell you, but after the horrors of yesterday, the information war continues apace.

Morons are calling Nick Ferrari and blaming Keir Starmer recognising Palestine, for the actions of a Syrian born lunatic.

And Nick is waving it through.

Decency is at war with propaganda.
