Yeah, I definitely think it was primarily a lack of exposure.
Honestly I don't think there was a single Korean restaurant in our immediate area until after I graduated from college.
Thanks for taking us there because exposing them to Thai food did cause them to try it again and eventually come around.
Which meant I got to eat a lot of good Thai food as a teenager.
