…yep. I keep going to bookstores to read CanLit poetry and return disappointed by the lack of creativity, originality, insight and overall talent in the voices and poems.

had one of those listening to Sarah Marshall’s β€œBirmingham” and singing through the roof of the car after realizing the lyrics are about a woman breaking free of an abusive relationship!

I asked the class what they do with their insecurities and the boy who missed my preamble about generations of men who won’t talk about their emotions says, β€œI just push it down, like a man. There’s no point talking about it.” And, he got the last word in before the bell. Amen, it’s Friday.

A Gr. 11 student wrote, β€œSome people with the brightest light cast the darkest shadows.” One of the best lines I’ve read this year.

It was not as good as Dark, but I enjoyed the cryptic elements, along with the red herrings. It had some Westworld vibes.

Never thought of it that way!!! Have you watched 1899? From the same creators as Dark.

03.12.2023 05:48 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Agreed. However, I am a huge fan of Dark (even though I spent hours on YouTube having smarter people explain all the time loops for me).
