Enjoy!
Oh, loathe it.
Excellent!
In the middle of reading a lot of Iris Murdoch. Currently this one. By way of an antidote to the times we live in among other things.
Funny that...
Some 17 years after her death, ten poetry notebooks were discovered in the attic of Iris Mudoch's home in Oxford. In a new lecture by Miles Leeson on 31 May we will look at this treasure trove of poems and learn to see another side of Murdoch.

In his recent book on the moral philosophy of Iris Murdoch, Mark Hopwood gives us “a Murdoch who is no longer just a defective analytic philosopher, but a thinker in a tradition of her own,” writes Parker Henry:
Poor old Olivia...😢
😘
It was great to be at the London Library last night with Bidisha, Anne Rowe, Leo Robson, Richard Scott and Lucy Briers to celebrate 'Poems from an Attic' by Iris.

The Bell! Or Under the Net. ASH is....an acquired taste.
Someone who had never heard of Iris Murdoch asked me about her today, and when I described her--I've been reading her for 20 years--their joy was as if they had learned of the existence of a long-lost friend. Makes me so happy that her writing still enchants. @irismurdoch.bsky.social
How wonderful!
We're looking forward to being at The London Library next week!
