Today I am remembering that when Reagan was inaugurated in 1981, a friend and I attended a "Punk Inaugural" at the Mabuhay Gardens headlined by the Sluts A-Go-Go. When the drag group performed "Let the Sunshine In" as incense burned, I felt such a strong sense of community I began to cry.
