Iโm still working through the reconfiguring of my iTunes library, so long-time favourites with deep catalogues tend to prevail. Good to see Otis Redding!
Since Iโve just had to change computers and move swathes of files around, I fear that Beatles et al. will not be budged for months.

As usual, the Mountain Goats exclusion principle applies.
Looking forward to voting Green after years of thinking I'd be Labour till I dieโฆ.

Looks like itโs about time for another quagmire.

Finally, the White House communications director steps in to clarify the decision to go to war.

Just saying, but when people are trying to do everything they can to prevent you from voting, thatโs when you absolutely need to vote.

27.02.2026 08:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Impact+ Research Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Social Change is aligned with the federal strategic priority areas, which include responsible AI, democratic and community resilience, and humanities centred design. The research program will advance a global understanding of how AI technologies are designed, deployed, governed, and experienced in real-world social contexts. This research program may consider democratic institutions, public decision-making, civic participation, bias, accountability, surveillance and data sovereignty to contribute to the development of more inclusive and equitable AI practices.
This is a super interesting and frankly exciting opportunity for any US scholars focused on *critical* approaches to AI who may be looking to flee to Canada for obvious reasons.
Brock U. is in Southern Ontario. Decent spot. Very good labor studies program.

Justice is not partisan. Identify crimes, indict perpetrators, present evidence, let citizen juries and non-partisan judges decide.

One of the most wearying aspects of my job entails explaining that the verbal form of the noun โprophetโ is โprophesyโ, & that โprophecyโ is the thing a prophesying prophet prophesies.
