One of the most frustrating things about this era, they will mock the dumb administration talking points all day but they will not fail to report on them and use the language the administration prefers. It's happening again with the concentration camp in Florida. They refuse to not use the name.

"Going forward, having made these enormous changes, Republicans are going to own the American health care system and all of its problems β€” the ones they created and the ones that have existed for years." - Vox article

Spoilers: they fucking won't.

The more I hear coworkers (younger) talking about AI (search results, music being generated, art, etc etc) the more I realize the jokes are gonna be a hard reality and this is probably going to be the main "boomer" thing thrown against Mil/young gen x'rs

Im fine with this, hate on me, padawan

All I see here is top notch ball security, elite contact balance, a willingness to grind out tough yards btwn the tackles, and surprising burst after he finds daylight

A couple walks down the street, the man in a turban, the woman in a very high-collared fur coat. This is ASHWAY and BERTREX

A: You know that origami flower shop we keep talking about maybe one day wandering through?
A: I finally had an occasion for which I would have liked some paper flowers. But they’ve closed!

B: That’s a shame, they just opened like five years ago!
B: I wonder how much of our community is powered by people imprudently opening wildly unprofitable businesses, pouring their time and savings into them for the period of exactly one commercial lease, then letting them close.

B: Like, it didn’t turn out to be sustainable, but for a while, you offered some cool origami classes for kids, and some people in the neighborhood have some paper flowers in their homes now? I assume?

B: Sorry it didn’t make you a millionaire, but you shoved the big stone wheel back uphill a few turns, and that helped us all.
A: And, in this metaphor, the big stone wheel is...
B: The thing that’ll smash us all into dust with its uncaring inertia if we don’t hold it at bay with our collective effort, yeah

A: Okay, cool. And our collective effort, in this context, means buying forty-dollar paper flowers?
B: Is THAT how much they cost?
B: I kept meaning to look in the store window when I walked by, but I never managed to tear my eyes away from my phone.

"Don't worry, the US President can't unilaterally declare war, he has to get approval from congress."

The USA hasn't formally declared war since 1941 and you're either naΓ―ve or stupid if you think the USA hasn't been at war at any time in the last 80 years...

I could fund a small political campaign if I only had half the money back I ever spent on buying coloring books and pencils to "do for relaxment" only to donate them all later (usually untouched and pristine)

Everyone on the correct side of history take care of each other's at these protests and outside of them.

Try to minimize sharing details of yourself, recording the faces of others you count among your allies, protect your phones and data.

Republicans warn Trump that some deportations go too far The White House wants ICE to arrest 3,000 people a day, and dramatically boost their deportation numbers.

Some Republican lawmakers are starting to warn the Trump administration to reconsider its all-in deportation push.
