Met with HR today and it looks like a leave of absence from work might actually be possible!! The only part I still need to think on would the duration of time. I can do up to 12 weeks but that feels like a crazy long time! If anyone has words of advice I would be ever so grateful!

I randomly decided to wear my sunglasses, Loop earplugs (not sponsored, just obsessed), and hold a fidget while getting my teeth cleaned and now I'm mad that I didn't do this sooner! Maybe its because I'm neurodivergent myself? Regardless, I wish the topic of neurodivergence was explored more in graduate programs that focus on mental health. I only know as much as I do because I always wanted to fit neurodiversity into my research essays and presentations somehow
Sometimes I feel like I'm one of the only clinicians who leads with curiosity about a client's neurotype (whether they are neurodivergent or neurotypical) instead of assuming they have a personality disorder and that feels so backwards to me
