What a lovely, funny and moving film ‘I Swear’ is.
Maxine Peake, Shirley Henderson and Peter Mullen are excellent.
But Robert Aramayo and the young lad Scott Ellis Watson who both play John Davidson, genuinely outstanding.
With a view to starting the TV series, I rewatched the film for the first time last week. Can’t believe 30 years have passed. As great as I remembered it in my head. And shorter.
