For fundamentalists, this almost always means adultery.
This is not new, unfortunately. Itโs been happening since I was a kid. Yes, a checkpoint on I-10 - the whole highway.
This is what happens when you hire people for loyalty rather than competence. You have to lower your standards. Itโs affirmative action for sycophants.
Turns out loyalty is only a virtue if the object of the loyalty is worthy of it.

The argument from Alex about Appleโs monopoly status and store practices is so tiresome. (And I largely agree with Alex!)
Just turned off the latest episode of MacBreak Weekly 37 minutes in. Time to retire this argument. Itโs decided. Apple lost Move on. @leolaporte.me
Carl Sagan explains how the ancient Greeks knew the Earth was round and calculated its circumference over 2,000 years ago.
Someone once said NextDoor is the social network for dogs if they could type. Itโs always โwhatโs that noise?โ and โwhoโs that stranger?โ which is exactly what I imagine my dogs would text other neighborhood dogs.
The problem with most machine-based random number generators is that theyโre not TRULY random, so if you need genuine randomness it is sometimes necessary to link your code to an external random process like a physical noise source or the current rate of US tariffs on a given country.

It's ten times worse today. The abstraction of the Temu-quality squarespaceish UI builder makes it impossible for me to use my CSS knowledge to fix something as simple as padding. Absolutely awful for anyone who who's what they're doing. (Unless what they know is the WordPress UI.)
Many years ago when I was a front-end developer, I hated WordPress because it made so many assumptions about development and made it hard to start from scratch with a template of my own design.
All these years later, installing it for a family blog, I can say I hate it so much more. (1/2)
