"Ana" is pruning grapevines in Madera County. She earns 34 cents each plant and there are approximately 80 plants per row. On a good day workers complete four to five rows per day. Their workday that lasts from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. #WeFeedYou

"Saul" is prunning grape vines in Selma CA. He's already tired, but has about another 1 1/2 hours to go. He earns 32 cents per vine. Some days are good and some bad depending on how many branches a vine has. Today is one of those days that a lot of branches on the vines. #WeFeedYou

"Andrea" shares, "Picking strawberries is always a hard job as it requires a lot of bending. Bput it is way harder in the rain. It is wet and cold and very slippery. Even in times like our lunch hour right now, means enduring the environment. There's no dry break room." #WeFeedYou

It's the start of a new sweet potato season in Merced County CA. Workers are preparing fields by removing old irrigation system pipelines and cleaning weeds to prepare the new beds. They spend long days shoveling dirt and carrying pipes in windy conditions. #WeFeedYou

At 10am it was 41° in Tejon CA. "Miguel" tells us, "We are pruning grapevines by hand. This has to be done during the cold season. The work is necessary so the vines will produce fruit during the summer. It's difficult to do as our fingers are stiff from the cold." #WeFeedYou
