When I studied politics way, way back in the 80s we were taught that there were checks and balances in the system to prevent just exactly this. That it could never happen (especially in the context of the Bay of Pigs case study). What the fuck happened? 😱

The thing is, a machine, AI, doesn’t, can’t feel. It is not sentient. Reasoning and metacognition are surely essential for survival and the avoidance of embarrassment, pain, pleasure. 🍌
