I really enjoyed those exercises when I was at uni. These are great.
Oof, well done! I've been on the lookout for these for years. They're so rare.
Hahaaa. No way! I do that. Haha. Glad I’m among like minded people on here. I found all sorts of dung fungi that way.
Wonderful. I’ve not seen one before… yet
Dung Cannon - Pilobolus crystallinus. I love these fungi. So tiny. #FungiFriends
I have since read that it's called Batesian mimicry. They mimic the poisonous ladybird larva because they're harmless. Very cool.
Haha! Now those I have seen. I'd like to see more of them.
Oh I will be doing. I've never seen them before. And now I know where they are!
Xylaria carpophila - Beechmast Candlesnuff
I've never seen them before, or the adult. But I know where to find them now!
I found a large number of these on a fallen beech on my walk today, seemingly feeding on a fungus. Never seen them before. I looked them up when I got home. Endomychus coccineus - False Ladybird larva. They’re very cool looking.
Platyrhinus resinosus - Cramp-ball Fungus Weevil in the sunshine. They’re so beautiful.
No problem. I will DM you 👍
I can do.

A brilliant write up, Gary. Thanks for that.
Female Hedgehog Harvestman Nemastomella bacillifera, Billacombe, Plymouth last week - always good to see these 'punk rock' harvestmen
Ah. They're only in Plymouth... I see.
That is SO cool! I will be on the lookout now.
Cracking camouflage.
The spawning has begun #frogspawn
