Supporting ‘illegal aggression’ against Iran ‘the worst thing’ Australia could do, international law experts say
No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

I read Turgenev's Fathers and Children at high school when I was on a Russian novel binge.
Distracted from finishing my article for next #genealogy Redland Researcher by building on the #WikiTree from sister-in-law's family to stay in the global top 100 #CC7 connected people. Recovered from 100 to 97 and not yet finished paternal side. Count is 12,420 connections atm within 7 steps.
Just like home only prittier
Damn! he makes it so hard for the rest of us

Hey Thems my kids
Bob'll be proud of it.
What once made some sense now makes much less. Seems like slicing the pie into smaller bits doesn't necessarily help you apreciate the whole.
I thought I wrote that :)

Thanks Claire. I meant no criticism of you. A broader view than the responses your post elicited. It is not a choice between payers and freeloaders. We are part a sharing community where most exchanges of information and expertise are freely volunteered. If people want to pay OK.
I'm OK with research as a business. However, 100s of 1000s willingly and happily volunteer their time to help others doing genealogy around the world. There would be little progress if we were bound to a commercial model. Shout out to the #WikiTree community.
Inspiration for my #familyhistory #localhistory #genealogy quest to link #DNA cousins through Co Wicklow. Today found a marriage record which links three families Byrne/Cullen/Healy atop 11 matches. I'm pretty happy and it isn't even uncorked....
#Crook !
oops #MRCA
Chipping away at a #brickwall w/ #DNA Cuz half a world away looking for #MCRA on 3rd Continent 200+ years ago on the farmlets of Glendalough Co Wicklow. #genealogy #familyhistory is amazing stuff. We are close to cracking it. Its a small world. Please don't blow it up!
Also recovers transcriptions of trained material similar but not the document submitted and falsely asserts it as a reliable response. even when challenged 3xtimes before showing that while it can do a very good transcription it does not provide one without challenge or strong initial guidance.2/2
Testing #ChatGPT with #Genealogy research tasks. Transcribe/translate handwriting from archival images. Correspondence from Downside Monastery Bath. For efficiency does not provide a direct transcription as asked but firstly #makesitup from trained content, so a generative paraphrase. 1/2
Today they have crossed a deep red line.
We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.
I'm the #DNA guy for my siblings 7 of us in #MyHeritage. Prev took mgt of 4. MyH now only allows result sharing which achieves much of the same for the other 2. I get a good view of the variability across siblings seeing cousins who are not shared by all or who are major on some minor on others.
Seeing how #ChatGPT goes on my Dom Bede Sumner brick wall. Did some nice things, used a lot of the #WikiTree profile which took me a couple of weeks to research. We? both ended up down the same barren rabbit hole with no definite answer to my question. Asked it to reformat into #Wikipedia. Messy..
From the bar in Fannie Bay #Darwin NT. Not quite the stairway to heaven. More like a rough pathway with a leap of faith.
