If it plays on paper/tabletop in concept - congrats! you’ve got working design. Write up a game design document and give yourself 2-5 years to learn an engine (or build your own). Be rich enough to pay people to bring your game to life - or spend another 5-10 years doing it yourself. Yay!

I think an underappreciated skill in game dev is "under promise, over deliver". This means specifically keeping things like production estimates AND even public talk about features lower in scope than they may actually be, so it doesn't bite you on the ass later if you have to walk something back.
