haha, sent mine to IT for further scrutiny lol
will never tire of this and the Vince Guaraldi soundtrack is some of the best Christmas music anywhere, bar none.
235 frames with the D850 intervalometer at 30 second gaps. One of the visual elements in my star party story that was the latest in the Globe and Mail's Underexposed series. Drove to southwest Saskatchewan for the party and skies were pretty nice haha. www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...
Reupping this really wonderful cover of Radiohead's 'Creep' cuz I'm tired after a drive back home from Fredericton NB, last night (included a ridiculously long stretch of crawling traffic cuz accident on the 401). Also this is my feels this morning. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZoH...
haha all good Nancy :)
and Chris Donovan !
flu shots aren't available up here yet but pharmacist said Covid shot uptake was pretty good. Mine has an appointment booking portal but also does walk ins.
The bus was nowhere to be seen so I lost 15 minutes going back to grab the car. Gotta love Montreal traffic mayhem and weavers (ugh). But I made it and now my car smells of that glorious scent of wood fired Fairmount Bagels. #bagels #mileend
Imagine if Toronto shut down a major st like they do with rue Sainte-Catherine in Montreal ? would be wonderful but then that's Montreal for you. last year stopped by an edm party there, after grabbing eats at a Chinese night market. love the city
Using Kobayashi-san's hake brush for spreading platinum solution. Exposing a 7x17 negative while working down at Gallery44.
RIP. His work was breathtaking. Regret missing his q&a with Burtynsky a few years back. Sebastião Salgado, photographer known for Amazon rainforest images, dies aged 81
Some people hit that burger place with the orange bridge over 11 when heading to their cottage, but this is my fav spot when heading up to the cabin and I take the lazy route up.
Haven't had breakfast here since I don't know how long. Pre pandemic maybe ? Avenue Open Kitchen is one of my fav diners/grills in the city, bar none. #diners #breakfastjoint
I know today's date but I am NOT going to say it. Please can we all be spared it ? btw-there's also a marathon on the tube so get your kicks there. hahaha
So there's an independent bookstore crawl in Ottawa this weekend, ending at 5 today. Didn't do the crawl but picked up two books at Perfect Books (on Elgin St.), by Bill Bryson and Nicole Coenen. #books #independentboosktores
That time of year for Chinese to visit their ancestors at the cemetery (The Plot as I call it). Plant some flowers, bring some roast pork and steamed chicken. And burn candles and incense so the area where Chinese are buried, the air is infused with the scent of incense.
So once again, driving in to the cabin was not happening so hauling in supplies etc with the sled. Can't remember the last time snow was still around in April. Weather is not too cold but still chucking wood into the woodstove. Hope everyone has a restful and wonderful weekend
the paintings are wonderful and why he did them is so endearing
please let there be a book coming from this wonderfull series of paintings ! I'm getting Elf vibes haha 'and then Bridget went on a boat ride with a left handed guitar virtuoso...'
Glad week is over, so now listening to this underrated song by Joe Jackson. It may be cliché but it brings me back to those autumn New York nights in the 80's when I was visiting a friend who moved down to work on Wall Street.. Hope everyone has a restful weekend. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VgN...
Some leaders have stones, and some, maybe not. So much for the bond of the Commonwealth.
When you wanna shave time and figure why not edit from the riser instead of the workspaces set aside for the media for election night coverage.
Got little buddy hanging off my Mac monitor, ready for Chinese Lunar New Year tomorrow. Hope everyone can share a meal with fam and friends and the year is filled with health and prosperity.
I mean we already share the BWCA and Quetico 😊
you're basically fam 😁
Finally got around (after 7 years) of making contact prints of 8x10 negatives from my chronicling (somewhat) of the place I called my other home, for 30ish years. Have a ton of uncut 120 film (Hasselblad) of same. Truly miss the neighbourhood, but not the horrible gridlock on Spadina Ave..
Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post cartoonist Ann Telnaes announces she's quit the paper because her editors wouldn't print a cartoon going after Big Tech and media oligarchs paying tribute to to Trump

“Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die” Princess Bride has a wonderful cast (I mean Wallace Shawn and Mandy Patinkin for starters) and a lovely story. It has to be on everyone's all time fav movie list right ?
