Now that it's over: I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who followed along with the SeptENMber posts. The past month has been the most "seen" I've felt wrt my art since I started posting here and I very much appreciate it! Planning to return to some longer turnaround stuff now (1/2)

Cool, I'll have to check that film out. I've somehow managed not to watch any of Godard's work despite so much of it being on Criterion Channel.

Panel 1: Two male prisoners on a chain-gang, a dog and a cat, walk down a railroad track chained at the ankle. They are carrying tools, and a rotund hound with a gun stands watch over them as the sun beats down. Panel 2: The hound dabs his brow with a handkerchief and says "Too got-damn hot out heeyuh to be watchin' crim'nul re-probates" Panel 3: He yells "ESCAPE?!". We see his perspective- the prisoners' tools are lying on the ground and they are jumping a fence together in the distance. A bunny prisoner stands watching them run and says "huh". Panel 4: The two prisoners duck as bullets whiz over their heads with a BANG BANG. The dog dives into a pond and the cat follows suit. Panel 5: The walking boss points at the water, gun in hand. Another guard in a hat kneels at the edge looking in. Bubbles rise from the water a distance from them. The boss says "they went into the watuh, we got em now, son!" Panel 6: The two prisoners emerge from the water across the pond. They are naked, and one of their jumpsuits floats in the water. They cover themselves awkwardly as they walk away. The boss smacks the guard's hat off his head, screaming "STOP LOOKIN AT THEM NEKKID BOYS N GET LOOKIN FER OUR PRIS'NUHS". He follows with "you dumb sumbitch, I oughta-" Panel 7: The prisoners, still chained and naked, walk down a path toward an old farmhouse with a swing out front. Panel 8: A female raccoon peers out a door looking exuberant. She is wearing a plain dress with a frilled collar and sleeves, and two wedding rings. She says "WHA- BOYS?!" Panel 8: The raccoon runs off the front porch toward the two prisoners, who have their arms outstretched to embrace her. Hearts surround them. She says "you're home! and you're naked!" as she tosses her dress over her head and runs toward them naked herself.

#septENMber Day 30: Great Escape (+ Welcome Home)

Since I missed day 1, went ahead and combined it with 30 to finish out the month. Wanted to end with something cute and happy. #furryart

Big fan of how you laid this one out- the cutaway on the apartments and the color divide between interior/exterior have a really appealing geometric effect.

A shark climbs out a small window while taking a shower, thought the door someone shouts, "This is the Police! You have 20 seconds to make yourself decent."
