The Language Planning Process – Revitalising the Gaeltacht The government quickly established a Gaeltacht Commission to investigate the current standing of the language in the Gaeltacht areas.

"Is there any tangible proof that the Government's efforts to reverse language shift in Gaeltacht areas is working?" asks Dónall Ó Cnáimhsí, the language planning officer based in Gaoth Dobhair, Co. Dhún na nGall.
