LEE CARSLEY INTERVIEW

'People might say, “He’s not good with the media,” and that’s fine — I’m really good on the pitch. Like, really good on the pitch.’

Why Jack Grealish is in danger of running out of chances at Man City JACK GAUGHAN: This was supposed to be the reset, the turning of a page, the season Grealish returned to being Grealish. Last year, the post-Treble comedown, was effectively a write-off.

Jack Grealish: it’s got to click and he’s got to stay fit if these aren’t to be his final months at Man City

Why Pep Guardiola's brutal honesty is hurting Manchester City JACK GAUGHAN AT THE ETIHAD STADIUM: Pep Guardiola has reiterated countless times that the opposition 'are better' than City. But there is a feeling that they have allowed that sentiment to go too far.

While Guardiola’s respectful honesty in defeat has been commendable over the last few months, has it altered the psyche of this group of players?

Man City ready to axe five stars as Guardiola moves into 'Pep 5.0' JACK GAUGHAN: How many of them have now walked out on the continent in City shirts for the last time? History says a few at least.

Monaco, 2017 - seven of the squad sold that summer

Real Madrid, 2025 - ???

Guardiola now needs to spend the next three months tuning a fifth iteration of City under him before a summer rebuild 👇

Also think McAtee has an issue in that he’s at his best central - significantly better than out wide - and PG just doesn’t trust younger players in there.

I did think they’d done enough yesterday but that was largely down to the opposition. Foden did also criticise their mentality tbf but that wasn’t in the screenshot you sent.

It seems like for the moment it’s buying from elsewhere, there’s not the buzz about individuals you heard prior to Foden/Palmer’s debuts. Guess that could change quickly - Lewis is a good example.
