The shock for a new woman MP joining Commons infantile boy's club debating society ...
"Ms Spencer said MPs should focus on the reason they were elected to Parliament, adding that the Commons should be a place where politicians work together to improve people's lives."

An important reminder about how colonial-type exploitation is at the centre of the AI revolution:

From Sudbury to Sheffield, last weekend Cardiff to Camden, I'm seeing around these islands huge numbers of people getting out the #VoteGreen message
Fucking yes. Thank you.
Now I get why my brain was struggling w. the "why don't the greens talk about the environment?" BS question.
I don't know enough about Welsh and Scottish politics, but my gut says green on all counts..
Technology is politics.
You can't embed Palantir into the army, the police and the health service without embedding its poisonous politics.
So there's no place for Palantir in our NHS.

So the farright male melts are having a bout of correctile disfunction over what young Hannah the new Green MP wore to give her maiden speech In Parliament.
So let’s take a look at what Nigel Farage was wearing in Parliament on that same day …..
But fucking rich coming from Streeting, to all intents and purposes he's the same aim.
The quiet bit Streeting isn't saying is that he'll rejoice because his pockets are well lined with the money of private healthcare! @goodlawproject.org estimates he's taken about £370,000 from donors linked to private health between 2015-2025 share.google/63nPVS80R0az...
The Green Party have won more elections since 2024 than Reform, they have collected more votes.
Yet Reform get all the TV coverage and the Green Party get none.
Yet Reform aren't as popular even when they are shoved down your throat.
My first thought, was 18 months is quite a lot later ;)
Srsly, yours looks edible, the ones in that cover shot (not opening the article) look like bricks.
Really significant, I think, that the leaders of the Greens and Lib Dems were very visible at Transmission, very happy to publicly demonstrate a commitment to the dignity of trans people. But the Labour frontbench, which still likes to cosplay respect for human rights, was nowhere to be seen.
The additional cost of ONE fossil fuel price spike on the scale of 2022 = the ENTIRE COST of Net Zero by 2050. We get precisely nothing in return for the first cost, and a whole new, more secure and cheaper energy system from the second one.

I'll stay at home for that one!
One for you @andrewhunterm.bsky.social ?
Crypto billionaire no longer interested in Reform-Tory pact.
He lives in Thailand, given £12m to Reform UK.
Farage pushes for wider adoption of cryptocurrency, promised to cut tax on crypto.
Another example of the super-rich buying power/influence, shaping public choices.
If it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between fossil-fuel lobbyists and the billionaire press, that's because there isn’t one.
My column on the politicians, journalists and junktanks using the Iran crisis as an excuse to extract our remaining gas and oil.

Opinion: Rolling back protections for habitats and chalk streams won’t solve the housing crisis, argues Green MP Adrian Ramsay.
💚 Green Party WINS Aigburth ward Liverpool City Council for the first time – overturning more than 100 years of legacy-party control.
Huge thanks to more than 100 volunteers for getting out this big Green vote and to everyone in Aigburth for choosing hope.
Could we please firmly *shut* the door to data-driven state abuses of power? Many thanks
We should be completely clear that the consensus of the Western ruling class is that expressing "from the river to sea" is orders of magnitude worse than presiding over a genocide.
This woman was arrested, while the Israeli president recently visited Australia and met the PM without any consequence
Students, graduates, friends and family: here's a chance to tell the government what you think about their unfair plans for student loan repayments 👇
Let's see if we can force another U-turn...
I had a similar conversation irl yesterday evening w. a friend I consider like-minded, and it was baffling.
