My August arthropod art zine, front, back and inside. The front features a big, glorious bug, the back has text saying how great I am, and the inside shows a sample of two inverts hand drawn in ink, with little written summaries about them.

Three copies of my August arthropod art zine which took hours and hours to learn how to format and print myself and will never, ever pay for themselves

Through A LOT of trial and error, I finally figured out how to print my own zines. Now I shall be UNSTOPPABLE!

I'll get these listed in my webshop tomorrow because I know exactly nobody has been waiting anxiously for me to print these zines that took untold hours to make.

First complete assembly! Everything looks good to me. So very satisfying—that’s fifteen pieces of cast metal, plus fasteners, in a very tiny space! Now more polishing on the wings, then patination and final polish 😅🛠️ but look: here’s our proud planthopper gent!

Last bird for avian august is the Moloka'i creeper and with it All of the birds are done! Only background left

Batman and Robin by Danny Earls

Sketches of the character Clay from Wings of Fire, a Mudwing dragon with earthen brown colors, dark brown horns, claws and eyes. He ash a broad face and stocky build.

So I started the Wings of Fire series post AC, and today's warm up time was tackling how I visualize the main cast so far.

Starting with Clay, who has big almost hippo like aspects and uneven scales that more mimic rock formations.
