‘Letters to the citizens of Georgia’: the newspapers delivered by the mothers of the jailed The mothers of Georgians arrested during the protests have been travelling across the country to share letters from their imprisoned children.

I spent the whole summer traveling across Georgia with families of jailed protesters, delivering newspapers with prisoners’ letters to bazaars and stations. We visited over 20 locations. I've put together a photo story from those trips.

Tbilisi City Court acquitted Nika Katsia of drug charges today. Katsia is the third protester to be acquitted of drug charges.

"Putin Khuilo", people chant on a demonstration right now in Tbilisi marking 17 years since August war.

A march in support of imprisoned teacher Nino Datashvili and imprisoned journalist Mzia Amaglobeli, both face from 4 to 7 years in jail.

Demo in Batumi now on 248th day of the protest.

Mzia Amaglobelis hearing started at 1pm and ended now. Verdict is postponed till 4 August. Hundreds greeted her at the court with high police mobilisation. People applauded. You can see her hand greeting to the supporters from the penitntentiary car.

Tomorrow at 13:00 the concluding hearing is expected for journalist Mzia Amaglobeli at Batumi City Court. She is facing up to seven years.
