A fascinating excursion this morning to visit Space House in Covent Garden (Seifert and Partners 1968) Retrofitted and extended by Squire & Partners 2024 who have updated and improved the buildings while retaining the spirit of the original construction. squireandpartners.com/architecture...

At the Olivetti Showroom in Piazza San Marco, Venice, by Carlo Scarpa. Opened in 1958 and restored a few years ago. The floor tiles are made of glass.

Villa il Girasole, outside Verona. A folly on a monumental scale: a rotating villa built in the 1930s. The pale L-shaped upper portion rotated on a circular railway track. Used as a summer home by the engineer Angelo Invernizzi and his family. villagirasole.org
