Here's the third of the rare Victorian pillar boxes in Birkenhead, at Alton Road, (Cochrane Grove foundry), plus three later Victorian boxes (Handysides foundry) at Howbeck Rd, Claughton Rd, and Rose Mount.

Long overdue good news! Repairs to the Jabez West Drinking Fountain in #Southwark Park start this month, funded by developer levies from North #Bermondsey Ward. Huge credit to Pat Kingwell & local campaigners. Delighted to back this important memorial to the area’s social history 🧡
