Wandering round Whassett with Jude & Alba (partner & dog) ....oh and a camera as well for snapping little scenes we come across. Retired and enjoying the peace & beauty all around us. More of this nonsense https://www.flickr.com/photos/34380862@N02/

yes....Geraint also did Cul Mor on the last day, but we preferred messing at ground level......he really enjoyed the walk and said it was easier than Quinag in a lot of ways. Quinag was a great day out and one I'll remember for a long time. Stac Polly was a bit busier, but great views again!!!

Of all the images I took whilst in Assynt, this one gives me the most satisfaction. It's a nothing image, but I like the contrasts, layers & depth; along with the obvious lines, curves & colours.

We spent a while just working a small section of the bank of the lochan just yards from the main road.

Clear blue skies above; a low sun breaking through the small trees behind me and a calm, peaceful, beautiful lochan in front of me. So just some reeds.

Thanks very much for selecting this one Dale. It's a bit of a marmite image so it's a very pleasant surprise this morning! As always there's some cracking shots in this weeks entries so more than chuffed to win. Thanks again!

Many thanks David; fleeting, but so beautiful on the birches.

Thanks Shaun; a quick dash back to the car to grab the longer lens to zoom into the distant trees......the sun drops quickly along that section below Stac Polly. It was a tad chilly too, but it's so nice to see the birches come alive in this kind of light.

Last light in the valley

A quick stop along the Wee Mad Road on the way back to Lochinver...intense light on the birches, showing them off to their magnificent best.

Definitely. Great day out but a little scary in a couple of places.....but I have got a bit of a wimp as I've aged. The wind didn't help.

This beautiful tree with its wonderful lichens, stood out across the River Inver....so I made it stand out a little more.
