Anna Margaret is a literal gift to the world. The fact she was the first person I saw at MC Chicago 2024—and she recognized me from my interactions—still warms my soul. AND her content is top tier. At this point, I feel more and more vindicated in creating a set of commander decks to use as a large scale battle box for home use only. I can curate for a hypothetical crew and our wants, needs, budget without dealing with Smugly McMannerless and their needlessly expensive over-optimized decks 2/2

I don’t blame you for packing things up, though. I’ve debated on selling off my collection a few times, only to be like “your Aminatou and Arcades decks will miss you” because I’m the personification type. But the urge to downsize is real. I enjoy playing. But oof with the frequency of UB stuff

My deck building has slowed to a crawl as I’ve gotten more into board gaming. Content consumption has, too. The only things keeping me in are a number of content creators I can count on one hand and the fact that Magic gets mentioned in board game circles, maybe occasional bits of in-universe lore

I was okay with a sprinkle of UB, but the sundae is becoming sprinkles with some ice cream. I like some of these IPs, but damn if it’s making Magic less magical having so many of them
