Actually now that I think about it... That's a power move... Okay ykw maybe this is actually a positive towards Caius even if this was a total plot contrivance just to make sure everything led to Lightning Returns

As far as I know, there's no datalog saying that the Heart of Chaos prevented Caius from just stabbing himself. Maybe there's something in the Ultimania, but at that point, that's trying to make an addendum to what's already there. There was no need for Caius to make Noel kill him other than spite.

Caius Ballad is such a cool villain who is utterly ruined by the single realization that he could've achieved his goal at any point in time, but solely chose to make Noel do the deed. It's so ass backwards when there's no Spehiroth personal aspect to that specifically, he's just a petty hater.

I still maintain my child-like optimistic hopes that one day, I will meet the people I stupidly left behind again.

First car I had to work on at work has a custom subwoofer system installed, and the two songs I tested it on were Paradigm Shift and Full Speed Ahead from FF13-2. Craziest part is that the single father I work with recognized those songs and is a massive game nerd like me. Idk what to say.
