This isnt relevant but: Do you know anything about Richard Hughes & Michael Edwards contract situation? Do they only have 1,5 years left? Will they renew?
Ah, I meant as a winger who can come in for Salah at 60-70. I didnt think of the semantics in english, my bad.
I believe he can be a great option as a right sided forward, and I suspect we will see him there as per the boss’ words.
Not saying its ideal, as the player himself sees himself as a right back. But I think his skillset aligns with what Slot likes from wingers (re his Feyenoord days)
@knoxharrington.bsky.social More «luck» than «skill» from the transfer department; in the sense that Szobo has played so well as a right back, but it might be a huge bonus for us.
@knoxharrington.bsky.social I think Szoboszlai’s RB performances have given LFC 6 forward options if Isak signs, as it frees up Frimpong to be utilized as an attacker most of the time. Isak, Ekitike, Salah, Gakpo, Frimpong, Chiesa, Rio is great imo.
Kjetil Knutsen deserves a relatively big job after this. Incredible what they have been doing.
They might live to regret those missed chances tonight though, could easily have been 4 or 5
Agreed. Its also a big part of his incredible ability of making everyone around him significantly better. Hopefully this will help in making Konate sign a new deal
I have a question for the podcast: Do you think the performance was a continuation of the poor form from "the bad week" leading up to the international break and indicative of a worrying trend, or was it more a result of the break itself, as we've seen in the past?
Grei deja-vu faktor på den der
Wonder if PSG would be open to selling him though. Gone through their academy and seems like the perfect "4th" midfielder for them. Can see him challenging Ruiz for the starting spot in midfield soon.
Him and Luis Campos deserve huge credit for that turnaround, what a team.
Based on the profiles of Slots Feyenoord team(s), with amongst other things great 1v1 wingers and a highly technical midfield, I wouldnt be surprised if we tried to build our squad in a similar manner to PSG for the future.
Is this real? «Just the title» is absolutely wild😂
Exactly how Im felling. Was surprisingly calm before and during the game, admittedly I was shitting it during the pens though😂
Definitely tough to take, but at least for me, it softens the blow that PSG were the better side over 2 legs (imo).
Positives:
-Relatively long recovery time until Sunday.
-Konate looked like a cramp as you said, and hopefully Bradley is back after int´break.
Trents injury didnt look good though
I think the club will sell a lot of players this summer. Tsimikas will add to that, perhaps one of Chiesa/Elliott as well. The Clark sale indicates that they will sell talents if they get the fee they want. That can indicate that Beck, Koumas, Bajcetic might leave for great fees.
Ornstein mentioned it as well
100%, det er en unik egenskap. Hadde 3-4 presise utspill opp til Nunez mot slutten av matchen som viste seg å være GREIT utslagsgivende 🤪
Synes denne er fin også.
Det er faktisk 10/10 på børsen.
I havent understood why we were playing Ev on the 2nd until now. This might suit us?
Pros- South American lads are not affected by jetlag on GD
-Being given time to train properly before the game. Might help with the usual poor performance after int.breaks?
Con- Long since we have played a game
I think we might sign 2 midfielders this summer. Endo and Morton leaving, a bid for Elliott doesnt seem far fetched. Signing a 6/8 and a 10 would be ideal. Having 6 midfielders that Slot trusts could be a gamechanger.
The other side; we got enough to do this summer already.
Its the time the replay is shown, not when the incident happened
This is the time the replay is shown, not when the incident happened
Agree, It makes sense. Nunez wont work, Diaz contract situation and it seems like he is on the decline, Jota barely available for selection. Would likely get good/great fees for all of them.
Wonder who we´ll target though
No, but why do they play Inter b2b in Serie A?
Who would you have played then? Risking Macca, Szobo, Bradley etc on a shit pitch before 5 really tough b2b PL games? Of course you rotate and change that much. The senior players who were there didnt show up.
A loss with a 2nd team wont derail things. LFC have bigger titles to go for
Agreed. Ornstein said something among the lines of «the feeling is that both will sign the contracts», but it might take some time.
Trent is gone though I think
Agreed, just hope its only a knock for Curtis! Doubt he´d continue if it was muscular.
